Our films are characterised by an inventive and cinematic approach to non-fiction storytelling.

Over the past decade we’ve released a number of award-winning shorts and feature-length documentaries, including films for the BBC, Netflix, The Guardian, New York Times, Film4, Arte and Showtime.

In 2014 we adapted the audio diaries of author John Hull into a series of short films, including the Emmy award-winning NOTES ON BLINDNESS. The following year, DEAR ARAUCARIA, our short film about the revered Guardian crossword setter, won the Audience Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest. LANDLINE, the story of the only helpline in the UK for LGBTQ+ farmers, went on to win the prestigious Grierson Award for short documentary in 2018.

Our debut feature-length release, also entitled NOTES ON BLINDNESS, was one of the most celebrated British films of the year, winning the Best Documentary Award at the 2016 British Independent Film Awards and being nominated for three BAFTAS. In 2021, we released our critically-acclaimed feature-length documentary, THE REAL CHARLIE CHAPLIN, a kaleidoscopic exploration of Hollywood’s most iconic figure which was nominated for two Emmy's and three Critics Choice Awards.

Our latest short THIS IS ENDOMETRIOSIS is currently playing at film festivals and online. Our Netflix Original Documentary feature APOLLO THIRTEEN: SURVIVAL, a cinematic re-telling of one of the great survival stories in human history, premiered at CPH:DOX 2024.

We’re always keen to meet new people and hear about new ideas, especially from up-and-coming filmmakers and artists. Drop us a line: contact@feefiefoe.co.uk
